We want to offer our customers an extensive selection of more sustainable products. We are constantly seeking to grow our selection with products that aim to reduce the environmental impact of their design and production in various ways. The means of reducing negative impact vary highly by product and range from material choices to innovative product and service solutions.
MORE SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS IN OUR SELECTION
Our aim is to help customers recognize the more sustainable products in our selection. We also aim to increase the number of products with an environmental or sustainability label. Read more about the environment and safety labels on our products.
Not all sustainable products in our selection have a third-party environmental label. To make it easier to recognize these products, we have created our own Responsible Choice label. The product packaging includes information about what makes the product sustainable. We ensure that each product fulfils our criteria. The selection criteria for products may include eco-friendlier materials, production technology or design. Our selection also includes products that allow consumers to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
SUSTAINABILITY AND SAFETY LABELS ISSUED BY THIRD PARTIES
The OEKO-TEX standard 100 / Öko-tex
An international textile testing and certification system that restricts the use of certain textile chemicals considered to be harmful. The label indicates the safety of the textile product to the user. The certification covers the entire production chain. The code next to the logo can be used to check the validity of the certification on the Oeko-Tex website (www.oeko-tex.com/en/label-check).
Nordic Ecolabel / Swan label
An ecolabel used in the Nordic countries indicating that the labelled product complies with the product group specific environmental criteria defined for it. The Swan label criteria take into account the entire life cycle of the product.
EU Ecolabel / EU flower
An ecolabel introduced by the European Union, indicating that the labelled product meets the product group specific environmental criteria defined for it. The EU Ecolabel criteria take into account the entire life cycle of the product.
Asthma Allergy Nordic
A label issued by asthma and allergy organizations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The label indicates that the product is perfume-free and its composition meets the criteria defined for the label.
