SUPPLY CHAINS

With a good supplier network, we can offer our customers a competitive, high-quality and sustainable product selection. It is important for us that operators in our supply chain follow our values. When choosing suppliers, the key aspects to consider include product safety assurance, good working conditions and human rights. A responsible supply chain can only be ensured through mutual trust and cooperation with the suppliers. Therefore, we aim to maintain and develop our relationships with suppliers systematically in the long term.

PROCUREMENT PRINCIPLES

In our supply chain, we pay special attention to human rights and working conditions. Our principles for a responsible supply chain are defined in the Code of Conduct, that all our suppliers must commit to. In addition to this, our supplier agreement determines our other criteria for sustainability and product quality that our suppliers are required to meet.

COUNTRIES OF PRODUCTION

Our products are made in various countries around the world. Our key supply regions are Europe and East Asia.

When monitoring the sustainability of our supply chain, we focus on “high-risk countries” in particular, where the risk of worker rights and human rights violations is higher. When assessing the risk level of a country, we primarily use the country risk classification of Amfori which is based on the Worldwide Governance indicators published by the World Bank.

Even if a supplier or a production plant are located in a higher-risk country, it does not make them a high-risk supplier. However, it still means that we must pay special attention to ensuring good working conditions. In higher-risk countries, we monitor workers’ conditions through audits made by third parties.
