In our marketing team, we have two designers who, together with the purchasing team, create stunning patterns and build commercially appealing product concepts. The pattern design process is multiphase and carefully considered to create a visually appealing, brand appropriate, and marketable product. Designers draw inspiration from trends, nature, culture, and history, crafting designs that bring life to home textiles and other products.

Anna Säteri, an in-house designer at Tammer Brands, has been creating various patterns since 2014. On Anna’s desk, creations have come to life like Folk which exude handicraft tradition and the tranquility of the forest, Bullfinch, which pays tribute to the favourite winter bird species, and Pino, inspired by the shapes of firewood stacks by a smoke sauna.

Our other in-house designer, Hannele Kiviniemi, has been on a shared journey with Tammer Brands for 10 years already. Hannele’s creations among many others, include Sarka, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Maku Kitchen Life, Ombra, which plays with shadows and light, and Helleborus, inspired by her favourite winter flower.

Patterns are an essential asset for us—they help us stand out in the market and offer our customers unique product collections. Discover more about the pattern design process, our designers, and the stories behind the patterns through our new catalogue.
