We donated pre-lit Winter Season Christmas trees to all the wards in the new Tampere University Hospital children and adolescent hospital, which was completed this autumn, as well as toys and games to the paediatric and adolescent psychiatric ward.
The new hospital is already starting to see holiday anticipation a few weeks before Christmas: the wards are being decorated, the patients get to decorate gingerbread and Christmas trees are being brought inside. The tree is an important sign of the holiday season, bringing light and joy to the hospital. And of course, Santa will be coming to every ward on Christmas Eve with gifts.
There are many patients who spend long periods of time in the paediatric and adolescent psychiatric unit. Often, the challenge there is to make every day nice and normal. This kind of day includes, of course, something nice to do, and toys and games are an important part of that.
“The fantastic new Tays children and adolescent hospital is now complete. We at Tammer Brands thought about how we, as a business, could be a part of this important venture and join in with many other contributors. We wanted to bring the Christmas spirit to the children’s wards with pre-lit trees and wish everyone the merriest Christmas,” says Marketing Manager Piia Grönroos.
